Dance Classes

• August 3 and 4, 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino
• Hip Hop, Krump, Street Jazz (non technical), Lyrical, Modern/Contemporary, Broadway Jazz/Fosse, Ballroom/Tango and more
  
• Autograph signing sessions and photo taking opportunities with choreographers
• Industry chats and Q & A’s with faculty, industry professionals and special guests
• Give a ways and scholarships will be awarded by choreographers at each class
• For dancers interested in being considered for auditions and/or bookings, scouts will be in attendance. This is optional and not mandatory

Shows

• August 2 at 7:30 p.m at the Planet Hollywood Theatre, attend the finals of the World Hip Hop Championships, produced by Hip Hop International, the producers of ABDC
• Meet and greets and photo taking opportunities with the Championships judges. In 2008, the judges included Shane Sparks and Rino (Harajuku girl, Beat Freaks). 2009 Judges TBA
• Meet and greets and photo taking opportunities with competing crews and other special guests
• Perform the choreography learned in our informal finale showcase on August 4. The fun show is open to family and friends as workshops are closed to spectators
• Special industry guests will be in the show along with the convention dancers
• On August 4 at 7:00 p.m. at Treasure Island, attend Cirque Du Soleil’s Mystere

• If you are traveling on your own and wish to share accommodations with other dancers, packages including airport transfers, accommodations and/or chaperones and more are available. Contact us for details.
• Whether you are traveling solo or with family or friends, stay on site at the Planet Hollywood Resort in a Hollywood Hip room. Rates at just $89/night (double room) when booked through the convention. These special rates are available from July 30 – August 8/09
• For dining options, Planet Hollywood has so much to choose from. There are quick bites like Earl of Sandwich, Pinks Hot Dogs and Starbucks; casual dining like Yolos Mexican Grill, PF Chang’s China Bistro, Planet Dailies and Spice Market Buffet or fine dining like Koi and Strip House.

Cost & Registration

• $500 US includes: 2 day convention plus Gold ticket to the ‘Hip Hop Championships’ and to Cirque’s ‘Mystere’. Attending Summer in L.A. The Hip Hop Intensive? Your package already includes the Hip Hop Championships ticket so your Vegas fee will be discounted.
• 1 Be Discovered scholarship may be transferred to the dance portion of the Convention. Scholarship recipients wishing to attend show(s), must purchase show ticket(s).
• Dancers wishing to attend the dance portion of the Convention only and not attend 1 or both the shows, contact us for availability and rates
• Additional show tickets may be purchased for family/friends.
