Auditions and Shows
-
Your dream? To dance in the world famous
Carnival: the Choreographer's Ball.
- Choreography and wardrobe will be age
appropriate. Although trendy and cool, we
will not use overtly sexual music, routines or
costumes. We do not believe that these are
the only ways to show off talents and get
connections in the industry.
- "It was at Carnival that the producers of
"You Got Served" spotted Robert James
Hoffman II (Step Up II), landing him his first
big-screen choreography credit.
- Dancers from every corner of the globe go to
Los Angeles to try and make it in the biz, and
their first stop is Carnival. Carnival
spans genres with routines in everything from
ballet to modern dance, martial arts to hip hop.
With over 120 dancers and 18 choreographers
contributing to the event, Carnival brings you
the hottest collection of dance from the
industry's best.
- Part nightclub, part talent show, Carnival now
in its' 11th year, features a who's who of local
dancers pirouetting, gyrating and
popping-and-locking for the audience. The
legendary Avalon Hollywood claims bragging
rights to infamous headliners including The
Rolling Stones, Prince, Tina Turner and the
Beastie Boys and is the new home of Carnival.
- Funky costumes will be
designed by
Sodaliscious whose fashions can be seen on
the red carpet at the Emmys and the
Oscars on many Hollywood stars from 90210,
