2008 Dance Intensive
- Hip Hop and Jazz Funk Classes at Millenium, as seen on MTV with choreographers Shane Sparks (America’s Best Dance Crew, So You Think You Can Dance) and Brooklyn
- Full day of group private workshops at International Dance Academy right on Hollywood Blvd. This is the studio where America’s Best Dance Crew is shot at. All workshops included photo taking opportunities and meet and greets with the industry’s top instructors. Janelle Vaccaro was on site all day along with Diana Uribe assessing the dancers

Classes at Debbie Reynolds studio including Krumping with Miss Prissy, the hottest female krumper as seen in the movie Rize. Lil’ C came in for the krump session along with Duece, the prince of krump. Dwain Murphy (How She Move, Degrassi) was at the class and networked with the dancers
- Full day of classes at The Edge. Classes included Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet, Turns, Contemporary Jazz, Jazz Funk and more. Dancers selected the classes, levels and choreographers of their choice for the day
- 2 day Career Power Workshop with Tony Award winner Grover Dale of Answers4dancers. The team of professionals included Liz Ramos, Christian Vincent, Michael Schwandt, Chopper, Aisha Francis and many more talented choreographers and dancers
- Were welcomed at the L.A airport by Ben Allen. Ben’s dance experience spans motion picture and television. He continues to dance and travels worldwide teaching and is co-founder of the not for profit organization Passion for Dance Project
- Networked with industry decision makers, choreographers, agents, stars and back up dancers
- Be Discovered’s Diana Uribe was with the dancers all week and offered tips and advice about becoming “professionals” in the industry
- Chaperoned by Janelle Vaccaro, Australian dancer who now resides and works in L.A. - Part of the studio audience in the front row and on the podiums of the hit TV show ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ where LL Cool J and The Dream performed live and 2 dancers were eliminated. Duece the prince of krump attended as a special guest with the dancers
- Showcased for top dance agents from Bloc, MSA, DDO, Clear and ACME as well as top choreographers including Free and Jae Blaze at the Career Power Workshop. All the dancers did extremely well and the agents were interested in more than 75% of the Summer in L.A. dancers.
TLC’s 10 Years Younger show was being filmed at the Hollywood Highland Mall during the Hollywood tour. Diana along with some of the dancers were invited to be a part of the audience for the live taping
- Mock auditions with JJ Villar. Savanna Schulz and Jessica Lynch were selected by JJ to receive a Be Discovered scholarship as a result of the audition. Savanna is a previous Summer in L.A. dancer
- Congratulations to Jessica Lynch from Massachusetts who was selected for the "Added Bonus" and was invited to attend the Niagara Falls Ashanti concert by her choreographer Brice Vick.
- Dancers traveled from Cyprus, The U.S (Florida, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma) and Canada ( Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, Saskatchewan) to Los Angeles, the entertainment capitol of the world
- Walking tour of Hollywood including the Walk of Fame, the Chinese Theatre and more. Duece the prince of krump joined the group on the outing
- The X Files red carpet movie premiere was taking place during our tour of Hollywood as well as the TLC show 10 Years Younger

- Dancers went on an outing following their photo shoot in a super stretch Cadillac Escalade limo on an evening tour of Los Angeles. Stops included Hollywood Blvd., the Sunset Strip, the Santa Monica Pier and a tour of the hotel The Standard, another exclusive L.A hot spot that has been seen on Sex In The City and Entourage. Joining the dancers was Janelle Vaccarro and Duece, the prince of krump (Janet Jackson, Chris Brown, Mary J Blige)

Private Breaking workshop with Poe One of Rock So Fresh, Zulu Kingz and Style Elements crews. Poe One co-ordinated and judged the b-boy battle at the Hip Hop Championship and appears as one of the judges in the movie Planet B-Boy

- Watched the best crews battle at the finals of the World Hip Hop Championships in Las Vegas at the Planet Hollywood Resort. MC Hammer received the Living Legend of Hip Hop Award

Diana referred Tre to the same top U.S. immigration lawyer that the Summer in L.A. dancers work with to help her obtain her U.S. work status

- Some of the dancers went on a surprise outing in a black stretch Hummer limo to The Stone Rose, an exclusive lounge owned by Rande Gerber and his wife Cindy Crawford inside a posh hotel. Dancers hung out in a VIP area, ate some treats including giant cotton candy. The limo continued on a tour of Hollywood and the Sunset Strip, stopping for a tour of the hotel The Standard, another exclusive L.A hot spot where the dancers saw Omar Epps.
